The Skiddle alternative

Your ticket money.Every Monday.

Skiddle releases your ticket money after the event. Covered pays into your own account every week while you're still selling, for a lower fee per ticket.

You shouldn't have to fund your own event while someone else holds the takings. On Covered, guests pay you directly, and the money's in your bank before the doors open.

Payouts

Paid every Monday. Not after the event.

Skiddle holds ticket money until your event has taken place, then pays it out in its next Tuesday or Thursday run. Until then, the acts, the venue and the promotion all come out of your own pocket. On Covered, ticket money goes straight into your own Stripe account and reaches your bank every Monday.

Questions

Switching, answered.

Is Covered cheaper than Skiddle?+

On the booking fee, yes, at every ticket price: Covered takes 7% per ticket (minimum 30p), and Skiddle charges 10% + 27p per ticket, £1 minimum. On Covered, card processing is billed to your own Stripe account separately; Skiddle doesn't say in its published fees whether it passes processing on.

When does Skiddle pay out?+

After the event. Skiddle holds ticket money until the event has taken place, then pays out in automatic runs every Tuesday and Thursday, and it takes 2 to 3 working days to reach your bank. On Covered, every organiser is paid every Monday from their first sale.

Can I move from Skiddle to Covered?+

Yes, and there's nothing to migrate. Create your next event on Covered, connect Stripe and share the new link. Tickets you've already sold on Skiddle stay valid there, so most organisers switch from their next event.

How much does Covered cost?+

Nothing to start and no monthly fee. Covered takes 7% per ticket (minimum 30p), which you can pass on to guests as a booking fee or cover yourself. Card processing is billed to your own Stripe account separately.

Can I take bookings on my own website?+

Yes. Paste two lines of code and the full booking flow appears on your site, as well as on Covered and in the Covered Discover app.
